Wanna see inside the Point Washington cottage project? In this episode, I walk you through the living room, kitchen, and where the bedrooms will be. I also give a little history of this kind of old cottage.
Enjoy!

Kevin,
I enjoyed the talk you gave at Downtown Rotary earlier this year. Pat Sabiston suggested I get in touch with you. I watched episodes 1&2 of your Point Washington Reno project. It brought back some fond memories.
My family has known about Point Washington for a long time. I grew up in DeFuniak Springs and in the mid 1950’s my parents built one of the early Blue Mountain Beach cottages. My mother regularly moved my brother and me, along with an assortment of our cousins, to Blue Mountain for summers when we were ages 5-10. She made a habit of having us attend the small Methodist Church in Point Washington. The church had Sunday School three times a month, a sermon only once a month, which suited us kids just fine. It wasn’t as much church as she insisted on in DeFuniak and the trade off was that we got to spend our days swimming and playing on the beach.
I recall our visiting the old Wesley home. In its condition then, it was much like the house that George and Mary Bailey moved into in the movie It’s a Wonderful Life.
Because of your appreciation for renovation I’d like for you to know about the house at 2504 W. 9th Street in Panama City that belongs to my daughter and my wife and me–the Ware house. It was built about 1910, best we understand. It had hurricane Michael damage, but now sports a new roof and most everything else inside has been taken down to the studs. A lot of history can be seen. If you would like to see it, text me: cell – 850-774-0883. I’d like to visit your Point Washington location sometime.
